An opportunity for new or experienced weavers ready to experiment with color and weave structure. Participants explore the illusion of a complex design using more than two colors in the log cabin weave structure, then create unique fabric by direct contrast, echoing, or shading the threaded pattern. Samplers can be used as framed pieces or crafted into small useful projects. The studio will be open during the week to practice skills and keep on schedule with the project before the second and third sessions are held. Direction and instruction will be given every step of the way to accomplish the goal. Runners, walkers and their dogs will be gathering to enjoy time together, activities, great music and sharing with others.Proceeds from this event will benefit the day to day operations of our shelter. We serve the 4,500 plus animals admitted to the shelter each year. Often we see over 53 species a year coming in the shelter.
