Anything But Plain Weave

From 9:30AM to 3:00PM

An opportunity for new or experienced weavers ready to experiment with color and weave structure. Participants explore the illusion of a complex design using more than two colors in the log cabin weave structure, then create unique fabric by direct contrast, echoing, or shading the threaded pattern. Samplers can be used as framed pieces or crafted into small useful projects. The studio will be open during the week to practice skills and keep on schedule with the project before the second and third sessions are held. Direction and instruction will be given every step of the way to accomplish the goal. Multi Vendor Event!

Join us for our 6th annual vendor event! We have over 20 vendors to help you get gifts for everyone on your Christmas list! The event takes place at the St. Joseph County 4-H Fairgrounds at 5117 Ironwood Rd. South Bend IN 46714. Enter through gate 2 on Ironwood Rd. & the event is on the first building on the left. Be sure to bring a nonperishable food items or an unwrapped children

Excel Center Enrollment Application Deadline

The Excel Center, a free public high school for adults, is currently accepting enrollment applications for the next term. Applications must be received by Wednesday, October 25th for classes beginning November 8th. Those interested can apply online at: www.ExcelCenterHS.org. The application is free and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. New students are encouraged to contact The Excel Center for more information and assistance completing their application. Visitors are welcome from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm any day The Excel Center is open. The Excel Center is a free public high school offering adults 18 years and older an opportunity to earn an Indiana Core 40 High School Diploma (not a GED) and college credit or industry certification. It is located at 2721 Kenwood Avenue in South Bend. Classes are conducted by licensed teachers in eight week sessions and an individual academic plan is developed for each student.
