Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana Chapter to Host Education Programs

The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana will host an educational program titled "Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors" in Bedford during the month of May. This program will review the challenging behavioral aspects of Alzheimer's disease, such as agitation, aggression, delusions and hallucinations. Attendees will learn about common triggers for these types of behaviors and strategies for addressing them.

 

Wednesday, May 29th from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Beford Public Library, 1323 K Street, Bedford, IN

Monroe County CASA Celebrating 35th Anniversary of Serving Children in Monroe County

Monroe County CASA invites all members of the community to join us for "35 Years of CASA, a Special Panel Discussion" on May 30th at 6:30 p.m. In the Monroe County Courthouse Rotunda. The panel will include two founding members of Monroe County County CASA, Iris Kiesling and the Honorable Frances Hill, along with two past CASA Executives Directors and the Current Exective Director, Kristin Bishay. Monroe County CASA Fundraising Breakfast

Monroe County CASA invites interested members of the community to attend the CASA Candlelight Fundraising Breakfast on May 16th from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at Fountain Square Ballroom. This event will feature a light breakfast and coffee provided by Bloomington Bagel, Cresent Donut and Hopscotch Coffee, along with moving messages from people impacted by the CASA program.

CASA is a volunteer-powered program which provides representation in juvenile court for child victims of abuse and neglect. They provide support to these children to ensure that they remain at the forefront of the court proceedings and find a safe, permanent home as quickly as possible.
